Project: Connah’s Quay High School
Main Contractor: Kier Construction
Architect: Ellis Williams
Main System: Technal FY65 Windows
Approx. Size: 325m2
Approx. Programme: August 19
This month we are pleased to feature our project at Connah’s Quay High School. The scheme consists of part new build and part refurbishment of an existing school.
Our Pre-Construction team worked very well with Kier from day one of receiving the enquiry. The project required agility as we had to provide a keen quotation, logistics plans and programme information within only a couple of weeks. Our Pre-Construction team were able to accomplish this, so much so that an order arrived within 1 month of receiving in the initial enquiry!
In terms of specification, the project was fully specified as Technal and we were able to comply with all the requirements set out by offering FY65 Windows and MX Curtain Walling.
It’s certainly not one of the biggest projects we will do this year, but on reflection it will be one of our favourites. The school is just over the border in Wales, but it’s only a few miles down the road from our Head Office in Cheshire, so our operations team has loved how easy it is to get to.
Also, we are really excited to see how the new facilities will benefit the children and community within our locality.
